Cobra Baseball and Softball attempts to place boys and girls on recreational teams in the Council Bluffs and Carter Lake Parks and Recreation Summer League.
IMPORTANT NOTE-An opportunity to play Cobra baseball and softball depends on the number of parents and others who are willing to coach a team. Though we wish it could be otherwise, it is likely that there will be more interested Cobra softball and baseball players than there are coaches and teams available for them to play on. If you are a parent or guardian and you are interested in coaching, please let us know as soon as possible. Cobra members will assist you in getting your team started and will provide information on practice fields.
Cobra provides game T-shirts and caps, team equipment including balls and bats, and league fees for Cobra sponsored teams. Players are responsible for their own gloves. Some players purchase their own bats, however Cobra does provide team bats available for use by all players.
Some leagues start as early as late April and early May so it is important to be signed up early so that we can place players on teams and be able to practice before seasons start.
We have almost always been successful in seeing that kids signed up will play. However, it always depends on having enough coaches for the teams. In the unlikely event there are not enough coaches for teams and we cannot successfully place your child on a team, money paid will be refunded. We need coaches.
